~ Thanksgiving 2006 ~ Catfish Jenkins Wednesday

	It was a short stay in Chicago for Thanksgiving but got alot of things done. Drove all day Wednesday and got into Chi just in time to head to see Catfish Jenkins for the first time in a couple of years.
	I have to admit even though I knew the band was doing well I had no idea that they would put on such a rockin show, done to perfection. It was a small venue so no matter where you were you were up close. The band plays, well, like a band. They worked together making eye contact and maybe giving signals that produced an almost flawless show. Each of the members did a somewhat elaborate solo and their skills were quite apparent but the total package was the most impressive. This band really should be on a circuit doing alot more shows and sharing ther music with more people. Brent has honed his stage performance and seems perfectly natural talking with the audience or the rest of the band or singing the many originals they do. 	Thursday was in Indiana with the family for dinner and Friday back to Joliet for a party at Reg's. Saturday was the second moe. show since Al is off the injured list and unlike the Friday show it was not a Chuck show! The first set was adequate but nothing like stellar. They came back out though with the intent of redeeming themselves and did the job! And it really was good to see another moe. show with all my old friends. I did miss some phone calls during and after the show because of a dead phone so if I didn't return your call my apologies.
